Part 2: Prepare the Filling

For this project, Bubby chose a potato filling. She often used rice, kasha, and other fillings as well.

Filling Ingredients
3 lbs Yellow Onions
5 lbs Potatoes, general purpose
3/4 cup Vegetable Oil (preferably Canola)
To taste Salt & Pepper

11. Peel and dice the 3 lbs. of onions.
Saute in the 3/4 cup of oil in a large skillet.



12. Add salt and pepper.

13. Saute the onions until golden brown.

14. Peel and slice the 10 lbs. of potatoes.
Boil in large pot until soft for mashing.

15. Mash the potatoes and add the fried onions. Add salt and pepper to taste.
